An ANZAC Day like no other

Anzac Day 2020 was a commemorative experience far removed from the day we are accustomed to spending with family and friends gathered in the early hours around our local Cenotaphs. This year, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we along-side many other villages were prompted to take extraordinary measures to keep people physically apart. This included the cancelling of public gatherings and events, annual services and marches.

The day saw some of us rising at dawn to undertake a special driveway service with socially distancing neighbours performing unique renditions of the Last Post - others quietly watching a revised version of our nation’s Anzac Day Commemorative Service from the comfort of our own lounges.
