WINNER – Property Council of Australia’s 2016 NSW/ACT Manager of the Year award
Congratulations to our very own General Manager, Mike Lans for taking out the Property Council of Australia’s 2016 NSW/ACT Manager of the Year award! The purpose of the award is to recognise excellence in village leadership. Mike was highly ranked by the judges for his ability to get the best out of his staff and create a harmonious environment for residents.
After an initial nomination from the Residents Committee at the Arbour Berry, Mike was shortlisted as a semifinalist and participated in an extensive interview process with a panel of expert judges. Mike made it to the final four and was ultimately announced as the winner at the NSW Retirement Forum at Homebush on 18 August.
“The key to Mike’s success has been his attention to detail, mentoring of staff and hard work,” said village owner John Leo. “He is relentless with village budgets because he knows how important it is to get maximum service whilst minimising cost increases”.
Mike is now in contention for the National Manager of the Year award, to be presented at the National Retirement Living Summit on 28 November in Melbourne. We wish him luck and thank Mike for his continued outstanding commitment to residents and staff alike at both our villages – very well deserved!
