Morning tea with the residents of Wivenhoe Village at Kirkham Rise

Seeing an opportunity to strengthen community ties with our sister village, Wivenhoe Village at Kirkham Rise, a resident morning tea was held at The Arbour on a beautiful autumn day in May.

Arbour residents proudly showed Wivenhoe residents around their multi-award winning village, whilst sharing their own experiences of retirement living. Of most interest was ‘The Enclave’ facilities at The Arbour and understanding how they are used and how people have incorporated the resort style facilities into their day to day lives. The discussions also covered planning more barbeques and social opportunities, how to incorporate health & wellbeing activities into your daily life, hosting resident special interest groups and general community living advice and tips. With ‘The Lodge’ at Wivenhoe Village due to open by Christmas this year, excitement has been building about the opening of the new facilities.

We are excited for the residents of both villages to continue to build on these wonderful foundations into the future.
